A long career in the banking industry (> 40 years). The main interest and focus were always connected to the commodity & trade finance industry both in sales and product innovation. Activities in various senior roles with top European banking institutes (London & Frankfurt) variety of roles included: Relationship management, Head of the department, Change management and start-up business (internationally). customers. The Trade Finance product offered working capital solutions and shortened the cash conversion cycles. Securing the finance (pre and post )for import and export (containerized) transactions. Maersk digital platform also provided market Intelligence globally supported by its extensive network > 120 countries. NL was the 5th country in the roll-out of the global Trade Finance initiative led by a full banking supporting team in India (Risk, Compliance, and AML). Buzzwords: blockchain, disruptive, agile, scrum doing sprints while setting up the franchise. NL locally visited > 100 SME’s (MKB) and large corporate companies within a years’ time.
